In ‘96, I took over the company for my mom. She's drove ever since I was a young boy, so I grew up in that truck. My step dad, who was more like a dad to me, drove as well. He was the one to teach mom and me everything about trucking. Soon after they bought the Pete, he fell and broke his hip, so l sold my Pete and took over so mom could stay home with him. This was their truck. He passed in 2011 and mom passed in 2016. I've kept their 95 Pete on the road for 25 years with well over 2 million miles and counting. We are a one truck operation hauling grain and liquid locally to farmers and coops in and around Kansas. I wouldn't be happy doing anything else. I've never made it to the MATS, so I’m hoping to make it when the next one comes around.
