The Certified Master Carrier Live event kicked off its first appearance at the 2024 Mid-America Trucking Show, aimed at giving current and future business owners the tools to succeed. This event, supported by Truckstop and led by Kevin Rutherford, included a look into strategic business planning, how to uncover indispensable trucking resources, connect with fellow drivers, and glean invaluable industry insights.

The CMC Program was designed specifically for professionals in the trucking industry. It aims to help these professionals acquire critical business and financial knowledge designed to boost their profitability and reach their professional goals.

The event leaned heavily on the knowledge and expertise of Kevin Rutherford, a well-respected member of the trucking industry. Rutherford used his practical industry knowledge to help attendees tackle a variety of topics, including business accounting, optimization of operations, safety enhancement measures, and technological innovations shaping the industry.

“I started the CMC program in 2005,” said Kevin Rutherford. “I’ve been doing this for 25 years, I can’t count how many times I’ve been on stage. I just had the most fun I’ve ever had on stage in my entire life. Not only is {MATS} where I’ve always wanted to do it, but it turns out it really is the best choice.’”
