SOLICITATIONS WARNING
As a MATS exhibitor, you may be targeted by unauthorized third-party contractors sending fraudulent solicitations via email or phone. Please be aware that MATS only partners with our Official Contractors, who are vetted to ensure you receive the best customer service and guaranteed negotiated rates.
We do not tolerate or endorse solicitations from non-official contractors. Please be especially vigilant regarding the following scams:
- Hotel & Housing Agencies
Beware of unauthorized housing companies or travel agencies claiming to represent MATS. Reservations made outside of our official partners are not protected. Every year, we hear from exhibitors who booked through third parties, only to arrive in Louisville and find they have no hotel reservation. - Attendee List Sales
MATS does not rent or sell attendee or exhibitor contact information. Fraudulent companies often scrape public directories to send deceptive list-sale offers. If you receive an email offering the “MATS Attendee List,” please immediately report it as PHISHING or SPAM to help protect our community. MATS only shares exhibitor lists with Official Service Contractors to coordinate essential show services. - Carpet Rental/Installation
Beware of non-official carpet contractors. We hear exhibitor complaints regarding late installation and exhibitors surprised that the quoted cost does not cover drayage/delivery fees.
If you receive any of these types of solicitations, please BUYER BEWARE. We recommend that you search for the company on-line to help determine if they are a legitimate company or just a quickly built website so they can send the sales emails and then shut down the site once caught. If you report fraudulent email solicitations as PHISHING or SPAM, this will help stop these emails from getting to other exhibitors.
