Unfortunately, MATS exhibitors may be contacted by non-official contractors and may receive fraudulent solicitations via email/phone. Please know that MATS only contracts with and endorses these MATS Official Contractors. These contractors are held accountable to provide the best possible customer service and ensure consistent application of negotiated rates for all MATS Exhibitors.
While not tolerated or endorsed, exhibitors may unfortunately be solicited for these services by non-official contractors:
- Booth Cleaning
- Carpet
- Exhibit Design/Installation
- Freight Shipping
- Hotel Rooms
- Vehicle Detailing
Exhibitor Scams Warning
These are the most common scams that we have been made aware of:
Hotel/Housing Agencies
Please be cautious if you are approached by a housing company or travel agencies. Reservations made through outside agencies are not protected by Show Management and we’ve heard of several exhibitors booking rooms through outside agencies, only to arrive in Louisville to realize a hotel reservation does not exist.
List Sales/Email Lists
MATS does not rent or sell the contact information of our attendees or exhibitors.
Fraudulent companies often use information publicly available on the internet to acquire exhibitor contact info and send list solicitations. If anyone contacts you to rent or purchase the MATS Attendee List, you should mark these emails as PHISHING attempts or SPAM. This will help filter these messages for all who are targeted. MATS only provides an exhibitor list to Official Service Contractors to inform exhibitors about necessary services they provide at MATS.
If you receive any of these types of solicitations, please BUYER BEWARE. We recommend that you search for the company on-line to help determine if they are a legitimate company or just a quickly built website so they can send the sales emails and then shut down the site once caught.
